IRF from HP and other technologies for unified data center

I heard that HP has technology like Qfabric from Juniper or Fabric Extender from Cisco. It is IRF.

If you used Cisco router as border or vpn concentrator (that is somebody has access to it from Internet), you would update software near time. Remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by attempting a reverse SSH login with a crafted username

If you have AS and more then one upstream you can meet strange traffics behavior sometimes. Suddenly you can see that biggest part of you traffic goes from one upstream or familiar pattern of traffics distribution has changed. It happens cause something changes, far away from you and your provider . Maybe one big provider changed connection to another. It is normal work of BGP, but it could be unpleasant and unpredictable.

MPLS & Ethernet World Congress

The biggest event about mpls, mpls-tp and other backhaul technologies was over last Friday in the Paris.

According official site,

“More than 1300 delegates attended the 13th edition of the MPLS & Ethernet World Congress. 150 service providers from 70 countries were present and confirmed the event to be the number one event worldwide in this area.

Geographical repartition of delegates demonstrate the internationalization of MPLS & Ethernet World. In particular this year, Middle East representantatives reached 15% and Russian representantatives 10% of the overall delegates.”

The famous market-research group iSuppli says that about 1560 thousands routers will be sold in the 2012.
The TOP5 of router original equipment manufacturers are Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, Alcatel-Lucent and Tellabs. They have 97% of market of routers.

Symptoms
Local SPAN and ERSPAN capture in both directions for Inband traffic doesn't work
as expected. Traffic is capturing only on one direction - originated by CPU.
